Though both started out similarly, Abimelech is seen to be the antithesis of Jesus because of choices made in response to injustice. The resulting bitterness reaped a horrific harvest in the family of Gideon. How can our lives reflect the “stone rolled away to reveal life” rather than the “stone rolled down to cause death”?
